Diametrics closes POC (point-of-care) test sale to Thoratec:

Diametrics Medical (St Paul, Minnesota) has completed the sale of its intermittent testing business to Thoratec subsidiary, International Technidyne. It received $5.2m in cash for the business, which primarily consists of the IRMA (immediate response mobile analysis) point-of-care blood analysis system, which is based on electrochemical sensor technology. Diametrics will now focus on continuous monitoring, and its TrendCare blood gas monitoring system, which has FDA and CE mark approval.
