Diametrics Medical (St Paul, Minnesota) has completed the sale of its intermittent testing business to Thoratec subsidiary, International Technidyne. It received $5.2m in cash for the business, which primarily consists of the IRMA (immediate response mobile analysis) point-of-care blood analysis system, which is based on electrochemical sensor technology.
