DiaSys (Waterbury, Connecticut) has signed a three-year distribution deal with a firm based in Peshawar, Pakistan, for its infectious disease diagnostic products. Pakistan Medical Links will exclusively promote, sell and service a range of DiaSys products in Pakistan and Afghanistan, which have a combined population of 180 million. The countries have a high rate of mortality from intestinal and blood-borne infections, and the parasitology and infectious disease rapid test products in the deal include workstations that analyse human fluids for parasites, urine sediment analysis tools and single-use containers for collecting, filtering and analysing parasites in body fluids.
