Brian Hatt has been appointed executive vice-president and general manager of Salt Lake City operations at Cyberkinetics, the Foxborough, Massachusetts-based developer of brain-computer interface tools for paralysed patients. In addition, Christopher Flaherty becomes executive vice-president of technology and intellectual property. Dr Hatt, formerly vice-president of development at the company, will be responsible for R&D and manufacturing in Salt Lake City and for all software development. Mr Flaherty founded medical device firms TransVascular and Insulet.
