Executive Summary
The medical technology division of Italian industry conglomerate Snia (Milan) has appointed Drago Alberto Cerchiari general manager. Dr Cerchiari, who has extensive experience in the chemical/pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device industries, will assume the role of CEO for the division's Sorin group once the demerger is completed in 2004. The Sorin group, comprising nine companies with activities in over 80 countries, will be a new entity exclusively focused on healthcare.
