Executive Summary
Axis-Shield, has today announced that its point-of-care Afinion diagnostic system has won the 2003 Competition for Innovation, organised by Norwegian bank Den norske Bank. The Afinion project (previously known as Colibri) was one of 350 entries. This year's first prize of NKr250,000 ($33,000) was presented to the Dundee, Scotland-based in vitro diagnostics company by Norway's trade minister, Ansgar Gabrielsen.
