American Bio Medica has received US FDA 510(k) clearance for new tests in its Rapid Tec drug testing product series that include assays for methamphetamines and opiates at a 300ng cutoff level. The company has also launched Rapid Tec 5, which tests for THC, cocaine, amphetamines, benzodiazepines, and opiates (300ng), for forensic use. The Kinderhook, New York firm's Rapid Tec products test for drugs-of-abuse in urine and can detect more than one class of drug on a single drug testing strip.
