The European Parliament was due to debate and vote on June 5 the own-initiative report by German MEP Karin Jons concerning making breast cancer prevention and treatment an EU health priority. If Parliament adopts the position, it is likely to result in a demand for increased mammography services, and therefore for more mammography equipment (see Clinica No 1056, p 3).
