The report for the period to December 31 2002 just published by the EU's Notified Bodies Operations Group, provides access to much information that has not been transparent before about how each country is designating and monitoring its notified bodies for medical devices. It provides for the first time a window onto the activities of regulatory authorities and third-party certification authorities throughout Europe.
