The European Commission is expecting by May 16 proposals for work plans for actions to improve health information, address health determinants and ensure a rapid reaction to health threats in the EU. These are the three priority areas listed as part of the EU's 2003-2008 health programme, through which over $312mwill be spent to protect and improve the health of Europe's citizens. Governmental bodies, academic institutes and European NGOs have all been invited to contribute.
