Tissue firm Tutogen seeks distributor to force growth

In a bid to break through the glass ceiling that restrains the progress of innovative tissue implant manufacturers, US firm Tutogen Medical has opened itself up to strategic offers from distribution companies. Its sales expanded by almost a third to $6.6m in the first quarter of 2003, and its net income improved marginally, but faster growth can now be achieved only by joining forces with a third party, believes president and CEO Manfred Krueger. Anything from a partnership to a full sale is being considered.
