German firms applaud reimbursement "weeding"

Germany's largest statutory health insurance fund, the AOK, is pushing for the removal of "non-essential" procedures from the reimbursement catalogue. This "weeding" would save the funds some E4bn ($4.4bn) annually and reduce the contribution rate by 0.5%, it says.
