UK modernises neonatal care with £70 million for ICUs (intensive care units)

UK neonatal intensive care services are to get £70m ($109m) to modernise their facilities, in line with new standards for paediatric hospitals. These initiatives coincide with the launch today (April 10 2003) of a consultation on how to improve neonatal intensive care. The funding will provide over the next three years specialist equipment designed for babies weighing less than 1.5 Kg.
