New guidance from the UK Medical Devices Agency (MDA) on the dangers posed by incorrectly installed, maintained or renewed gas lines may squeeze smaller suppliers out of the market. The guidelines urge the healthcare industry to observe more closely manufacturers' advice on the installation, maintenance and renewal of medical gas hoses, and will likely not be favourable to those companies supplying accessories not recommended by the manufacturers.
