Executive Summary
Rockland, Massachusetts firm BioSphere Medical is being sued by Terumo, its distributor in France. BioSphere's French subsidiary is alleged by Terumo Europe to have terminated a distribution contract, causing it damages. The two companies entered into the distribution agreement in January 2002, when Terumo Europe became the exclusive distributor of BioSphere's EmboSphere and EmboGold Microsphere products, which are used to occlude blood supply to tumours and vascular malformations.
