Executive Summary
As Clinica went to press, the UK Department of Health was hosting a two-day international Science Summit to discuss the latest developments in the battle on hospital-acquired infection, particularly MRSA. In a bid to find an effective tool for screening patients on admission - one of the holy grails of the battle on MRSA - it was to highlight a test that promises to detect the disease in "around one hour", compared to the current wait of up to two days.
