He has also been elected to a newly-created position on the board of directors. John Brown, current chairman and CEO, will retain his position as chairman of the board. Mr MacMillan joined Stryker in 2003 as president and COO. Previously, he served as sector vice-president of global specialty operations for Pharmacia. Prior to that, he spent 11 years at Johnson & Johnson.
