First NHS "super surgery" opens, procurement model ahead - update

The first of 42 "super surgeries" being built as part of the £1bn ($1.88bn) National Health Service (NHS) Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) programme, has opened in East London. The launch of the new centre came with confirmation from the Department of Health of plans to establish a procurement model for local implementation of the programme.
