It is impossible in a brief summary to do justice to a strategy that seeks to re-steer and energise the £6bn ($11.2bn) machine that is the UK's medical technology industry. But last week's publication of the HITF report is actually just the end of the beginning - the nuts and bolts of a nine-part system designed by around 200 people over the last year to improve the machine's performance.
