OraSure Technologies is to begin shipping early next month the first FDA-approved rapid HIV test that can be performed on oral fluid. The launch had been delayed from August because a subset of clinical data appeared to show a higher rate of unconfirmed positive results than was shown in the clinical data compiled in support of FDA approval.
