Directorate General Enterprise, the European Commission department responsible for overseeing the regulation of medical devices and diagnostics, has issued the latest (ninth) copy of its "Pink Book". This is a list of all EU legislation managed by DG Enterprise, including 482 directives. The list includes legally binding rules, described as "hard" law, as well as implementing issues, described as "soft" law. The Pink Book is updated twice a year to take account of legislative developments and the latest edition takes account of changes up to June 2004. For details, see: firstname.lastname@example.org
