Langer takes weight off SSL's feet with Silipos buy

Langer, a US company specialising in foot and gait-related biomechanical products, has agreed to acquire the Silipos company from UK group SSL International in a cash-and-promissory note transaction worth $15.5m. $5m will be paid at completion and the balance in two instalments maturing in 2006 and 2009.
