Executive Summary
Medwave is to continue supplying Novation with its sensor-based, noninvasive blood pressure measuring systems for an additional two years. Danvers, Massachusetts-based Medwave has been supplying Novation, the purchasing organisation for VHA and the University HealthSystem Consortium, since September 2003. Its technology, installed in over 500 hospitals and clinics worldwide, can replace the use of invasive blood pressure monitoring catheters in some patients, says the company.
