Executive Summary

Medtronic has named Terrance Carlson as senior vice-president, general counsel and corporate secretary, effective October 1 2004. He succeeds Ron Lund, who was named to this position on an interim basis in January. Mr Carlson joins the Minneapolis, Minnesota-based firm from PerkinElmer, where he has served as senior vice-president, business development, general counsel and secretary since 1999.
