Anglo-Norwegian company Axis-Shield has appointed John Sperzel as president of it US operations. The in vitro diagnostics company is currently establishing its US organisation and developing a presence in the point-of-care market. Mr Sperzel was most recently vice-president of global marketing and business development for near patient testing at Bayer Diagnostics.
