Executive Summary

OraSure Technologies has won a $4m contract to supply the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration with its OraQuick rapid HIV antibody tests and HIV confirmatory test services. Shipment of the product will begin in the fourth quarter of 2004 and is expected to end by 2005. The tests and related services will be used by over 22,000 substance abuse treatment and prevention sites throughout the US, says Pennsylvania-based OraSure.
