Baxter International has named Joy Amundson as corporate vice-president and president of its bioscience business, effective August 9. Ms Amundson was previously an executive at Abbott Laboratories for more than 20 years. The Deerfield, Illinois-based firm has also promoted Jim Utts to president of Baxter Europe, and Bruce McGillivray to president of Baxter's global renal business. The two executives were also elected as corporate officers of the company.
