Polish Prime Minister Marek Belka has re-appointed Marek Balicki to the post of health minister, following the unexpected resignation of Marian Czakanski. Dr Balicki, formerly a hospital director in Warsaw, held the health portfolio under a previous administration, but resigned in protest at another government appointment.
