Executive Summary
HealthSouth (Birmingham, Alabama) has named Mike Snow as COO. The appointment of Mr Snow, a former president of hospital company HCA, follows last month's election of Jay Grinney, also a former HCA executive, to the position of president and CEO. The diagnostic imaging and rehabilitative healthcare firm is currently seeking a CFO to rebuild the accounts and finance department following last year's $2.7bn fraud investigation (see Clinica No 1089, p 12), which has resulted in 15 executives pleading guilty to fraud, including all five former CFO's.
