Axis-Shield signs 10th deal with Abbott:

Axis-Shield, of Dundee, UK, is to manufacture a test for renal dysfunction for use on Abbott hospital and clinical laboratory analysers. The test is designed to differentiate between different kidney diseases based on the presence of a 2-microglobulin, which is found in particular on the surface of lymphocytes. It is for use on Abbott's benchtop IMx analyser. The agreement marks the 10th joint project between the companies. Axis-Shield will receive an initial payment and payments for each test supplied to Abbott.
