The UK's National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) has published its initial recommendations on the clinical safety and effectiveness of five medical technologies to be appraised under its new interventional procedures (NIP) programme. They will be subject to open consultation until May 25, via the institute's website (www.nice.org.uk).
