Executive Summary
Toshiba America Medical Systems has received US FDA 510(k) clearance for its latest digital imaging technology for vascular examinations and interventional procedures. The Infinix VC-I, which comprises a large field of view (12x16 inches) flat panel detector (FPD), provides distortion-free imaging with uniform brightness, said the Tustin, California-based firm. It also features dose management functions, which ensure high-quality images at the lowest dose; easy-to-use tableside controls; flexible tabletop design; and a liquid metal X-ray tube with a high heat capacity to eliminate waiting for tube cooling during long exams, Toshiba added.
