O'Fallon, Missouri-based Synergetics USA is to sell the Sonopet Omni ultrasonic aspirator and tips in more international markets, following an expansion of its existing contract with Mutoh, the holding company of the device's original manufacturer Miwatec. The current agreement covers just the US and Canada, where Sonopet Omni is the only FDA-approved device for ultrasonic removal of the bone. The aspirator boasts specialised tips, which are produced by Synergetics USA, and is used in a wide variety of surgeries including neurosurgery, gastrointestinal, urological, plastic and reconstructive, thoracic and orthopaedic gynaecological.
