DoH prepares to remap NHS in England

England's 28 strategic health authorities (SHAs) have been given the go-ahead to begin local consultations on service boundary reforms, as part of a programme to improve operational and management efficiencies. The initiative has implications for service commissioning and procurement. Through technical guidance issued to SHAs on the process, the Department of Health is seeking to ensure that all interested parties and stakeholders have an opportunity to participate.
