Mauritian prime minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam has called on the private sector to develop high-tech diagnostics in a bid to make Mauritius a hub capable of attracting "medical tourists". It has also begun to develop a framework to control the standard of treatments that require high-end medical treatment.
