The joint German federal committee (G-BA) last week revised the catalogue of rare conditions, conditions with special indications and highly-specialised procedures. The G-BA, which undertakes health technology assessment for reimbursement, has included new regulations that determine which procedures can be carried out in a hospital as outpatient care.
