Zargis Medical (Princeton, New Jersey), a company set up in 2001 to develop and sell an advanced acoustic technology for detecting heart anomalies, has appointed US Healthcare Marketing Council member Patrick LePore to its board. Mr LePore is a board member of vitamins company Douglas Labs and of Franklin Community Bank. Zargis is said to be on the threshold of 510(k) approval for its ZAC acoustic cardioscan system.
