Executive Summary

Indianapolis, Indiana-based Focus Surgery has decided to halt work on its high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Instead it will spend its "limited cash" on completing a phase I clinical study in the US in which it is using the system, Sonoblate 500, to treat prostate cancer.
