EDAP TMS, the Vaulx-en-Velin, France-based urology device group, says it will shed 22% of its French workforce to cut costs and stay competitive. This and other cost-saving measures should enable it to report operating income and positive cash flow in the latter part of 2004. However, this could be scuppered by a continued rise in the value of the euro, the company cautioned.
