San Diego, California-based diagnostics company Biosite has extended its 14-year distribution partnership with Fisher HealthCare for an additional three years. Under the new agreement, the Houston, Texas-based subsidiary of Fisher Scientific will distribute Biosite's complete line of diagnostic products in the US through to 2008. Biosite recently reported third-quarter earnings of $12.6m, a 21% increase from the same period last year. The firm's revenues, at $69.7m, were boosted by a 13% increase in sales of its flagship product, the Triage BNP test for diagnosing patients with symptoms of heart failure.
