Executive Summary
St Jude Medical has CE-marked for sale in Europe its Victory family of pacemakers. The devices combine a number of features, including optimised settings to save time at implant, VIP (ventricular intrinsic preference) technology to minimise ventricular pacing, a FastPath summary screen to speed follow-up exams, and technologies to extend the life of the device in patients. The St Paul, Minnesota firm plans to release the pacemakers broadly in Europe in the first quarter of 2006.
