A disposable rigid endoscope that promises to avoid the decontamination problems associated with current re-usable surgical endoscopes could be available by the end of 2006. So says UK-based Healthcare Enterprise Group (HCEG), which is developing the product through its Katzrin, Israel-based portfolio company Optiscope Technologies.
