Positron sets up joint venture for imaging systems in China

Positron has teamed up with Neusoft Medical Systems (NMS), the digital medical device arm of Chinese software solutions provider Neusoft Group, to form a joint venture in Shenyang, China. Named Neusoft-Positron Medical Systems, the initiative will focus on production of PET and PET/CT systems. The project is subject to approval from the Chinese government, which Houston, Texas-based Positron expects to receive by the end this month.
