A district court in Germany has ruled that Roche Diagnostics' LightCycler Factor V kit, used to detect gene mutations that causes a blood-clotting condition known as thrombophilia, has not infringed on Instrumentation Labs', which holds an exclusive licence to European patent 0 690 991, filed the lawsuit in July last year. The company has been given the option to appeal the decision.
