Danish devices incident reporting rises

Executive Summary

The number of reports concerning adverse incidents with medical devices in Denmark has risen steadily from 237 - when reporting began in 2000- to 516 in 2004. These reports included 934 new incidents, rising from 547 in 2000. However, the number of reported incidents is still relatively low, in relation to the number and different types of medical devices available in the market, says the Danish Medicines Agency (DMA).
