At special meetings on May 26, the stockholders of eye surgery and contact lens group Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) and laser vision correction specialist Visx voted in favour of the merger plan announced in November 2004. The Californian companies expect to close the deal within two business days of the shareholder votes.
