This article was originally published in Clinica

Executive Summary

In what it believes lays the foundation for gaining European market approval of its first drug-eluting stent (DES), Conor Medsystems has CE-marked for sale its bare-metal cobalt chromium coronary stent, UniStar. Conor said it did not plan to immediately commercialise UniStar, but may introduce the product through distributors later this year "in countries where bare-metal coronary stents continue to be widely used".
