Vascutek takes AAA (abdominal aortic aneurysms) graft to the EU:

Vascutek, a Terumo company, has launched for sale in Europe its Anaconda stent graft for the minimally invasive treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). The product was CE-marked on the basis of results from a clinical trial that began in June 2002; the study patients have been followed-up for 24 months, with a mean follow-up of 13.5 months. In the US, an FDA-approved phase I study of the device is close to completion, said the Renfrewshire, Scotland-based firm.
