Swiss firm DiaMed's subsidiaries in Germany and Austria are to distribute in Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic products made by Ivax Diagnostics, of Miami, Florida. The deal covers reagents and instrumentation, including the Mago Plus automated ELISA analyser and the company's new Parsec system, when it becomes available. Parsec is expected to include a full panel of hepatitis markers; Ivax says the hepatitis market is one of the largest testing segments in the blood banking sector.
