Masimo awarded $140m in Nellcor monopoly case

Tyco Healthcare unit Nellcor has been ordered to pay $140m in damages to pulse oximetry rival Masimo. The federal court jury in Los Angeles found that Nellcor had violated antitrust laws in its contracts with hospitals. The damages are automatically tripled under antitrust law to $420m.
