German optical and laser component manufacturers are predicting average sales rises of 10% for the coming five years, a recent survey by the industry association, Spectaris, has revealed. This is the first time that the 10% expectancy figure has been surpassed. They also say that they will allocate more to R&D. Provisional information for 2004 shows an annual sales figure of E4.49bn ($5.7bn), a rise of 12.2%, for this industry branch.
